Mythic+ Events

Mythic+ Madness

Every Friday around 9p ET, we run an event called Mythic+ Madness. We assemble in the cream of the crop voice channel, then split into groups for Mythic+ runs depending on the roles you have selected. After each team completes a run, we reassemble in cream of the crop and scramble the teams again.

During Mythic+ Madness, we run keys of any level, so experience is not necessary! During Mythic+ Madness, we always advise to run the lowest key in the group. It’s a social event and we’re all gathered to have some fun. By all means, run what you want once you’re grouped but please keep in mind that not everyone wants to run a big key – slogging through a key isn’t everyone’s ideal Friday night.

Push Madness

Like our weekly Friday event, Push Madness uses the same Discord scramble bot to assemble teams for push keys. Push with Casual Friday means you have 2,750+ rating, which generally requires timing every dungeon on fortified and tyrannical at +20. We assemble in the event voice channel, then split into groups for Mythic+ runs depending on the roles you have selected. After each team completes a run, we reassemble in the event channel and scramble the teams again.

During Push Madness, we recommend trying to run a key that the majority of the group can gain IO from, within reason. If someone is freshly 2,750, asking them to get through a +25 key might be too much. Conversation is key and remaining humble about your own ability is imperative to making this a smooth run. If your run is not going so hot, do not be afraid to say “better luck next time” and head back to the event voice channel to catch the next scramble. That said, great learning can be made from completing a key over time, so it is up to each group to decide whether they want to continue over time.

Boss Blitz

Assemble into groups based on a dodgeball team style snake draft, then run +20 keys to see who has the highest percentage of time remaining. Will you get the highest score?

Arr-Mazing Aspects

Join up and assemble into groups to farm Aspect crests (keystone level 16+).

Captain, My Captain

We use a dodgeball style draft to assemble teams. Want to deny a team a bloodlust? Then grab that last shaman! Want to hear about how teams had to face agonizing and bitter death without a battle rez? Pick that last death knight! Want an opposing team to have to dance around a lot more? Force them all into melee by choosing the last ranged DPS. Tanks or healers become captains for a dodgeball style draft to assemble teams to run keys at a certain key level. Winners at the end of the event get bragging rights and side bets are encouraged.

Captain Wee Captain

One of our best events for alts and our members that are just starting their Mythic+ journey. Like Captain, My Captain, Captain Wee Captain still utilizes a draft team building style. The biggest difference is that set a low item level limit for all participants. The lower item level ensures that the dungeons will not be utterly obliterated by higher item level players. This helps keep lower dungeons a little more challenging so new players and alts actually have time to learn, develop skills, and build confidence

Captain Push Captain

One of our Captain events, but push (2,750+) style! We assemble a raid group in-game and then /roll to figure out our captains in a dodgeball team style snake draft. Are you going to deny a team a brez or a lust? Are you going to grab that meta-slave Vengeance DH? The power is in your hands to manipulate your foes’ group comps while maximizing your own! Bragging rights goes to the team with the highest timed key!

Sunday Night Social

Every Sunday night, we get together and run keys. Come hang out for a chill night of fun and M+ runs. Sign ups are based on the key bracket you’d be interested in running. The event captain does their best to get everyone in or around the levels they want to run. Groups will start forming up just after 9p ET and then run as long as the group wants to run for the night. All levels welcome, we always have a great range of keys to run. So whether you want to try out a new spec, gear up an alt, or finish up your weekly vault, come out for some social time on Sunday nights with us!

Monday Night Menagerie

The Monday night Menagerie is geared toward lower-mid range keys with the goal of teaching/learning while still giving higher level players the ability to farm Wyrm crests. This is split into the crest ranges on 6-10 and 11-15. We will roll this similar to madness, but we will then stick with the groups for a few runs and do the re-roll again.

Community Partners

At Casual Friday, we are all about world domination inclusivity and creating a non-toxic environment where people can play World of Warcraft. To help spread the word, we have created a partnership program with guilds, communities, and content creators around Azeroth. Our partnership program represents a curated list of communities and content to provide Casual Friday members the same experience they enjoy in our own community. You can see the list at any time in the casfri-partners channel of our discord.

To become a guild partner, we work directly with a guild’s leadership to make sure they understand what our community is about while we work with them to fully understand theirs. If our communities are compatible, we promote one of their trusted members to @community partner so they can manage a post in the casfri-partners channel. In turn, our guild partners set up a channel in their Discord to receive published posts from our events so their members can see when we are hosting Mythic+ events! Hopefully we provide them a venue to find more warm bodies intrepid adventurers for running dungeons while we provide them fresh meat new faces for raiding or to be a part of their guild/community.

To become a creator partner, we like to see a consistency in your content delivery (be it streaming to Twitch, posting YouTube videos, etc) and a concerted effort at creating a non-toxic environment. Bonus points if you are already regularly gathering groups of players to play together. As a creator partner, following our events channel with your own Discord is not a requirement. We figure Casual Friday is a great venue to find willing guinea pigs non-toxic people to play with so you can streamline your content production rather than slogging through group finder. In turn, we hope you occasionally plug our community in case your followers need a Mythic+ community in which to participate.

In the end, we want all of our communities to coexist as their own identities with the same end goal of creating non-toxic, friendly spaces for us to enjoy the game we’ve been playing for nearly two decades.
